1. Information Collection and Use

MALE CORPS ® is the sole owner of the information collected on its sites. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. MALE CORPS ® collects information from you at several different points on our web sites.

2. Membership Application

A membership is required to access MALE CORPS ® web sites. To obtain a membership, you may be required to first complete a Membership Application. During the application process, you will provide your contact information (such as name and email address). You may also be required to provide address information, telephone information as well as financial information (such as credit card and expiration, or checking account). The information provided during the Membership Application may be used to contact you about your membership, and/or the services we offer.

3. Orders

We request information from you on our order forms. You must provide contact information (like name and shipping address), financial information (like credit card number, expiration date or checking account), as well as any other information deemed necessary to the processing of your orders. This information is used for billing purposes and to fulfill your orders. If we experience difficulties processing an order, this contact information may be used to get in touch with you.

4. Cookies

A cookie is a piece of data stored on your hard drive containing information about you. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information while on our sites. Any cookie will terminate within 24 hours of closing your browser. For example, we may set a cookie on our sites in order to keep track of sign ups generated through our Recruiters. If you reject the cookie, you may still use our sites.

5. Log Files

We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the sites, track your movements on our sites, gather broad demographic information for aggregate use, and to prevent fraud. IP addresses are linked to personally identifiable information as a method of authentication of financial transactions.

6. Sharing of User Information

  • We will not share any personal information with any third party, except in the following circumstances:
    a. when required by Law, subpoena or court order;
    b. to address financial fraud or any type of illegal activities;
    c. for the purpose of collecting any money you owe us.

  • We may share aggregated demographic information with our partners and advertisers. This is not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person.

7. Links

Our web sites contain links to other sites. Please be aware that MALE CORPS ® is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our sites and to read the privacy statements of each and every web sites that collects personally identifiable information. This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by MALE CORPS ®.

8. Surveys and Contests

From time-to-time our sites may request information from you via surveys or contests. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and therefore you have a choice whether or not to disclose this information. Information requested may include contact information (such as name and shipping address), and demographic information (such as zip code, age level, personal interests or personal opinions). Contact information will be used to notify the winners and award prizes. Survey information will be used for the purpose of monitoring or improving the use and satisfaction of our sites and services.

9. Security

Our web sites take every precaution to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via our web sites, your information is protected both online and off-line.

When our Membership/Order Forms ask you to enter sensitive information (such as credit card number), that information is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software in the industry - SSL (128-bit). While on a secure page, such as our Membership/Order Forms, the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked, as opposed to un-locked, or open, when you are just "surfing".

While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also take all necessary steps to protect your information off-line. Access to your information is restricted. Only personnel who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, staff sergeants or commanding officers) are granted access to personally identifiable information. All personnel with access to sensitive information require the issuance of a clearance. Our records and servers are kept in a secure environment with regulated access.

10. Use of Personal Information to Communicate with You

We may use your personal information, such as e-mail address, for the following communications:

a. membership related issues or questions;
b. order related issues or questions;
c. communications at your request.

You are not able to unsubscribe from the above communications. As a result, these communications do not include an "unsubscribe" link.

11. Newletters, Promotions and Site Updates

We may also send you, from time to time, Newsletters, Promotions or Site Updates. You may un-subscribe from this service by clicking on the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of every message.

12. Correcting and Updating Personal Information

If your personally identifiable information changes (such as your credit card number), you may update or correct your personal information by visiting our Members Help section at https://secure.MaleCorps.com/help/.

13. Storage of Information

We may store your personal information on digital tapes for back up purposes and to keep a history of transactions on our web sites. This information may remain on back up tapes for up to 10 years and may only be used for the purposes described in paragraph 6a, 6b and 6c.

14. Notification of Changes

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on our homepage so you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. If at any point we decide to use personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we will notify you by way of an email. You will have a choice as to whether or not we use their information in this different manner. We will use information in accordance with the privacy policy under which the information was collected.
